Text phone service to end on December 31, 2024

Unfortunately, we have been unable to find sufficient funding for the service and as the service's utilization rate is declining, the service will have to be discontinued completely at the end of this year.

Changes concerning the text phone service autumn 2024

TEXT PHONE MAKES IT QUICK AND CONVENIENT TO TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS

Individuals with various degrees of speech and hearing impediments can use text phone and text relay services to handle their everyday business in a comfortable manner. The services are available for free over the internet.

CONVENIENTLY ONLINE

INTERNET TEXT PHONE RELAY SERVICE is a service for the hearing-impaired or speech-impaired person is able to contact Text Phone Service without a separate text phone or a separate modem. The usual computer with the internet connection is enough.  The service languages are Finnish, Swedish and English. Every agent has the professional confidentiality.

The service consists of usual calls in Finland and calls to cellular phones, no calls to the foreign countries or to the chargeable service numbers. The speech connection (the deaf person speaks and the answer of the hearing person will be written down) does not work in the internet service so far.

To be able to use the system, you need to be registered and have a valid username and a password.

Please fill the registration form and send it to our customer service. Customer service will activate you into the system and username and password will be send to you by email.

NEW APPLICATION FOR TEXT PHONE USERS

You are now able to download the new mobile application myMMX.

The application is a text based tool that enables the use of the relay service through which the user can communicate with a person who hears. The application enables the use of the relay service wherever you are.

You can download the application myMMX for your Android device from Google Play or AppStore for your iOS device.
